Guidance on Export Licenses
We Support Pet Owners with Health Certificates, Assisting the Export License Application Process through Myanmar’s Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department (LVBD). Although Private Clinics and Hospitals Cannot Issue Export Licenses, Our Certificates Help You Meet LVBD Requirements.
Recommended Timing for Travel Documentation
Pyay Veterinary Clinic‘s Health Certificate: Schedule Your Pet’s Health Check about Two Weeks Before Your Travel Date.
Export License: Plan to Apply for the LVBD Export License No Later Than 10 Days Before Departure, Using the Health Certificate We Provided.
Important Steps for International Pet Travel
When Preparing Your Pet for International Travel, Specific Regulations and Documentation Requirements Vary by Country. We Strongly Recommend that Pet Owners Check with the Destination Country’s Embassy or Official Websites to Confirm the Latest Pet Import Permit Information and Necessary Forms. Some Countries Require Endorsements from Multiple Sources, such as a Government Veterinarian at LVBD (Myanmar’s Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department), in addition to Our Clinic’s Veterinarian Signatures and Stamps.
Rabies Titer Test and Vaccine Requirements
For Import to Countries that Require a Rabies Titer Blood Test, please note:
Advance Planning: Myanmar Currently has No Accredited Laboratory for This Test, so We Refer Blood Samples to Our Partnered Labs Abroad. The Process, Including Blood Drawing, Overseas Testing, and Results, May Take Up to 2 Months.
Vaccination Scheduling: To Improve the Likelihood of a Passing Titer Test Result, we Recommend Ensuring Your Pet Completes Two Rabies Vaccinations Approximately One Month Before the Blood Sample is Drawn.
Consultation and Scheduling: Our Veterinarians Can Assist with Planning the Anti-Rabies Vaccine Schedule in Alignment with Travel Timelines.
Preparing Necessary Documentation
Bring All Relevant Forms, Including Any Embassy or Import-Specific Documents, To Your Appointment. Make Sure To Fill Out the Owner / Responsible Party’s Portion of These Forms in Advance. Certain Countries may also Require Multiple Copies or Specific Endorsements, so Bringing Extra Forms Allows Our Veterinarians to Review and Complete Them as Needed.
By Confirming Requirements and Planning for Necessary Health Screenings and Documentation, You’ll Ensure a Smoother Process for Your Pet’s International Travel.
